Cosentino Group has entrusted Gervasio Belda with the study, design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of its new plant in Almeria. To this end, it has implemented milling machinery, tanks and an automated transfer system.
Gervasio Belda has delivered and put into operation the new enamel preparation plant of the multinational Cosentino, a world leader in the manufacture of high-value surfaces for the world of architecture and design.
The Cosentino Group’s new facility, dedicated to the manufacture of one of its flagship products such as DEKTON, will boost its capacity to respond to global demand. Gervasio Belda’s contribution is not only focused on the complete manufacturing of the enamel preparation plant, but also in ensure that all processes are interconnected through manufacturing control systems, that allow to simplify and automate the process, ensuring the parameters set by the quality department.
The installation, designed by Gervasio Belda’s technical office in collaboration with Cosentino Engineering and Production, allows a more fluid and efficient handling of the materials from milling to their final transfer to the consumption points, guaranteeing safety and eliminating contamination after each production process in a completely automatic way.
The system reports each production phase automatically, guaranteeing the traceability of each element. In this way, the Valencian company contributes to improving the quality of the final product, implementing technologies that also underline its commitment to innovation and sustainability.
